You seem to be admitting a lot in this email. You admit that your Papa Manding is the court-appointed guardian of my mother. You are stating that your Papa Manding is responsible for my mother’s wellbeing as an “alleged incapacitated person” (AIP). You are also aware of your father’s role as a legal guardian. But why are you speaking in behalf of your father now? Why is your Papa Manding upset in handling this responsibility?

More questions:
Did your Papa Manding initiate the guardianship petition?
Why is your Papa Manding so concern with my mother’s bills?
Is your Papa Manding the guardian of my mother’s money too?

You also seem to be admitting that your father is incompetent in his role as a legal guardian. If you know that your Papa Manding is old and lacking patience and skill as a legal guardian, then your father is not competent in his role.

By the way, are you now suggesting the appointment of a professional guardian over your unskilled father? If you are aware that your Papa Manding lacks guardianship training, then your father is putting my mother’s life at risk.

My cousin Eric is the son of my Mom Glory’s legal guardian, Uncle Armando (aka Manding). I guess Manding authorized Eric to post photos of my mother in his Facebook account. The four photos were posted by my cousin to prove to me that my mother is alive.

Eric’s act in posting the photos is giving me the impression that it is meant to correct the error of the “court papers” that was signed by Carlene Klein last August 27, 2009 (declaring that my mother is “deceased”). Manding and Eric should know that Carlene Klein made a false statement under oath. Manding and Eric should also know that those “court papers” traumatized me, my sister, and our families here in the Philippines. Manding and Eric should have done something to fight that lie!

Attorney J. W. Rehmke already admitted that there was an error in those “court papers”. I guess Manding knows the purpose of that error (in fact, a false statement). Was that false statement intentional?

Uncle Armando (aka Manding) should have known the interest of my Mom Glory before she became an “alleged incapacitated person” (AIP)! Uncle Armando should have protected us, the children of his ward!

Please allow me to communicate my dilemma concerning my mother, Gloria Liwanag, a resident of Federal Way, who I thought was only incapacitated (in a coma) since August 8, 2009, but after receiving “legal documents” from Morton McGoldrick firm last September 14, 2009 my hope collapsed and I was confused. I just found out from that “legal copy” that my mother was already “deceased” since August 27, 2009. The copy that I received was signed by a person acting as a witness. Her name is Carlene Klein. She was also responsible for depositing the mail from USA last August 27, 2009.

Ma’am, I don’t know if the documents that I received were genuine because I’m not familiar with guardianship papers being released by Washington Court. If there was a court hearing at that time, how could I and my sister participate in it since I’m here in the Philippines? My mother’s siblings in Federal Way did not even provide complete information about my Mom’s condition and that there was already a court hearing so I’m very upset. Did you personally handle my mother’s guardianship case? When did the guardian acquire legal documents to act on behalf of my mother as an incapacitated person? Why was I and my sister not included in signing those guardianship documents?

Will you help me understand my mother’s case?

Attorney Jonete W. Rehmke replied to my email last Sun, Feb 14, 2010 at 9:05 AM. She stated that my mother is not dead. She confirmed to me that my mother is residing in a facility paid by the State of Washington. She also named the court-appointed guardians of my mother and that they were appointed last September 15, 2009.

My observations about Atty. Rehmke’s email:

• Rehmke sent the same email to “Carlene L. Klein”, a witness who signed the legal papers that my mother was deceased.
• Rehmke believes that I received all the paperwork that was sent to my address. (How many papers were sent?)
• Rehmke admitted that there was an error in those legal papers. (How many errors were made? Are they supposed to legally correct it?)
• Rehmke accused me that I did not respond to all the guardianship paperwork and the emails. (What was the legal paper that I must receive and sign? How many papers must I receive and sign? How many emails did she send?)
• Rehmke admitted that I don’t have to agree to the guardianship but the guardianship will still be put into place. (Is this legal in a US court? How would I know? I’m a Filipino residing in the Philippines, thus I’m not qualified!)
• Rehmke was supposed to advise me to file a complaint to every legal department in the United States if I wanted to challenge their action. (How can I make a legal complaint in a US court? How would I know? I’m a Filipino residing in the Philippines!)
• Rehmke stated that I know everything that is happening to my mother. She also mentioned that I called the FBI concerning my mother. (Am I all-knowing? Why should I call the FBI?)
• Rehmke knows the medical condition of my mother. (Where are the medical records of my mother? Why didn’t the guardians provide me my mother’s medical records? What are the medications being administered to my mother?)

Observations:
The order for appointing a guardian ad litem was done in an open court last August 17, 2009 in the State of Washington, USA.

September 8, 2009 – Uncle Manding and her wife Rebecca made an overseas call to me and said that my mother was very alive, able to talk, and already located in a nursing home.

However, the last copy of notice that I received was signed by a person acting as a witness. Her name is Carlene Klein. She was also responsible for depositing the mail from USA last August 27, 2009.

My thoughts today:

I think that my mother’s siblings did not provide complete information about my Mom’s condition and what actually happened the night of August 8, 2009 in Federal Way. My mother’s siblings said that her accounts and some of her documents are lost. They were involved in the incident so they’re the first suspects.

I now think that my mother is a victim of abuse and someone is taking advantage of her financially.

But there are also other scenarios in these events – my mother’s siblings will eventually be unable to decide for my mother’s critical condition and America’s social services will replace them in the decision-making process. If my mother is still alive – but now in a comatose state and an unproductive resident in the US – she will be placed under the socialized medicine program. This is now inevitable.

Uncle Manding’s wife, Rebecca, told me by phone that 911 paramedics took my mother.

My cousin Rupert (Nino), son of Manding and Rebecca, was the one who told me by phone that my mother was taken to St. Francis Hospital located in Federal Way, WA.

I told Rebecca and Rupert to inform Wal-Mart, my mother’s employer, about the incident so that they could ask Wal-Mart to use the health insurance of my ailing mother.

August 9, 2009 Sunday
I sent a text message to my mother’s cellular phone – the phone that my mother’s siblings are using to text me – instructing Manding to call Wal-Mart for health insurance and charity donations to aid my mother in her condition. I also asked the exact name of the hospital and the names of my Mom’s doctors.

Their reply:
“Nino knows the Dr. But he is not here. Hospital.. Saint Joseph Medical Center Tacoma WA.”

Rupert (Nino) told me that my Mom was taken to St. Francis Hospital located in Federal Way, WA. It turned out that my mother was not confined there, but in St. Joseph Medical Center in Tacoma. He said that there’s no neurologist in a Federal Way hospital. His statements are confusing.

This incident worries me. Did they really take her to a Federal Way hospital? Or, did the 911 paramedics take her from home? Why is my mother confined in Tacoma? I also want to see a 911 transcript about the incident.

August 10, 2009 Monday
Rupert (Nino) used my Mom’s cellphone to text us that my mother looks better but still sleeping. He asked us to make an overseas call. He wanted us to call abroad so that my mother could hear us and perhaps be awakened by our voice.

Immediately, my sister made a call to my Mom’s cellphone and asked Rupert to put the phone to my mother’s ear, but he said that the nurse was doing something to my Mom that time. His answer to my sister contradicted his text message.

After 30-40 minutes, my sister made another call to my Mom’s cellphone, but Rupert said that he’s not in the hospital anymore.

August 11, 2009 Tuesday
Rupert (Nino) used my Mom’s cellphone again and texted us to call asap because my Mom is awake.

I asked my sister to immediately call my Mom’s cellphone and she asked Rupert to put the phone to my mother’s ear again. But Rupert gave the cellphone to another woman inside the room and their conversation was cut. Why would he do that? Why is he holding my Mom’s cellphone all the time?

August 12, 2009 Wednesday
There was no call from Rebecca and no text messages from Manding or Rupert (Nino).

August 13, 2009 Thursday
We received a text message from my Mom’s cellphone again.

Text message:
“Just to let u know ur mom has several doctors and mom has no progress and to let u know we r having problem accessing ur moms papers and her ins ends end of aug”

Who is this texter? Is this texter from Federal Way or an aunt who just arrived from California? Why is this texter looking for my mom’s papers? What kind of documents is this texter looking for? Are my mom’s documents missing?

This text message tells me that my mother’s condition has no progress and it contradicts the text of Rupert.

We received another text message from an aunt’s cellphone.

Text message:
“tim have u gotten any of my text– telling abt ur mom – explaining her situation–explaining wht papers were going thru– ur mom’s status and her financial situati”

Why should this aunt explain my mother’s situation through a text message? What papers are they going through this time? If they’re preparing for the billing, is my mom ready for discharge?

August 16, 2009 Sunday
I was able to converse with Edward Scholl, the store manager of Wal-Mart Supercenter, Federal Way, WA. Mr. Scholl said that he only received an email indicating that my mother was taken to an unnamed hospital and that the explanation was that she had a stroke. He also said to me that there was no specific date when my mother was rushed to a hospital.

By my own means I found out that my mother’s siblings did not call my mother’s employer at Wal-Mart.

August 17-18, 2009 Mon-Tue
No phone call or text message from Washington.

August 19, 2009 Wednesday
At 8:41AM (Philippine time), I received a call from Rebecca and she gave the phone to Aunt Dely for her to explain what happened last August 8. I’ve waited 10 days for her to tell me what happened, so I didn’t believe her story (Aunt Dely is my Mom’s older sister who resides with her in Federal Way).

Uncle Manding butt in on our conversation and, by slip of the tongue, told me that they also used my mother’s credit cards and he also mentioned that my Mom’s car registration is missing.

They already used my Mom’s credit accounts and now they’re telling me about a missing document.

I don’t want to accuse them but this event is so painful and their son Rupert (Nino) just harassed me on the phone. He blamed me about the incident last August 8. He said that my mother had a stroke because of me. I wasn’t even there in Federal Way, WA, USA. My mother did not even call us that day.

My thoughts today:
I may think that my mother might have had a stroke last August 8. But how can I verify the exact event from her siblings now who denied exact information and made conflicting statements. If my mother had a stroke, what was the cause of it?

Another thing, why did they send the text messages to my wife’s cellular number from August 8-13? They know my contact number.

They’re also asking me to reply to an email sent to me. Last August 16, I received an email from somebody asking me to sign papers that would authorize Manding and an aunt to be appointees in helping my mother (perhaps in processing documents or insurance). They did not call me about this but it was made known to me by my cousins here in the Philippines.

Last August 17, around 2:30-2:40pm, my wife received a FedEx envelope containing a letter from St. Joseph Medical Center. It contains the diagnosis of my mother and an instruction for me to process my papers for an emergency travel to the United States. I think this medical record should have been sent to the US Embassy and to the Department of Foreign Affairs here in the Philippines.

How will this medical record serve as a valid document for my emergency travel to the US? Also, I won’t use this letter because I don’t trust the person who’ll be my host there, my mother’s brother Manding.

About my mother’s diagnosis, it’s thalamic and intraventricular hemorrhage. That is fatal! My Mom is really in a critical condition and if she won’t recover I’ll still demand what happened that night of August 8, 2009.

Lastly, my mother may have suffered from a stroke but she may have also received a hard blow to the head and also that she might’ve been abducted or detained against her will before she was taken to a hospital.

These August 8-19, 2009 incidents now accuse them! God is witness. Can my mother’s siblings remove this doubt from me?

As of August 16, 2009, between 9:30-10:00AM (Philippine time), I was able to converse with Edward Scholl, the store manager of Wal-Mart Supercenter, Federal Way, Wash. Mr. Scholl confirmed to me that my mother, Gloria Liwanag, is a Wal-Mart employee and that she is absent from work.

I asked questions about my Mom and Mr. Scholl replied politely. He said that he only received an email indicating that my mother was taken to an unnamed hospital and that the explanation was that she had a stroke. He also said to me that there was no specific date when my mother was rushed to a hospital.

By my own means I found out that my mother’s siblings did not call my mother’s employer at Wal-Mart. I asked my mother’s siblings to give me official medical diagnosis from the doctor but they hindered me. They said they’ll just send info about my Mom via express mail. I don’t understand why they’d do that because they could easily give me details through email.

My cousins (particularly my cousin’s wife) here in the Philippines gave me the name of St. Joseph Medical Center in Washington and they said that my mother was confined there.

As of August 16, 2009, between 11:00-12:00AM, I was able to confirm by my own means again that my mother was in room 5 David 3 of the hospital, but I was only referred to a Filipina nurse. I asked her about my mother’s condition and her diagnosis but she did not answer, instead, she instructed me to make an overseas call to my aunt who is in Federal Way. Again, I don’t understand why they’d do that. (I think the Filipina nurse is acting there as a private nurse perhaps hired by my mother’s siblings.)

From August 8 up to August 16, my mother’s siblings did nothing to ease my worry here. My aunt just sent me text messages last August 13 that my Mom’s respirator has been taken out. A question that’s going through my mind that time was why she won’t give me the name of the doctor so I could personally, by phone, confirm my Mom’s status. I don’t know if that’s a hospital protocol.

The same aunt also wants me to do paper works here in our country demanding me to make hasty arrangements for emergency travel to the US. This aunt is not a resident of Federal Way. She’s a nurse in California.

That same day of August 16 at 2:25pm, I received a phone call from an uncle. I thought he would reassure me about my Mom’s condition; instead, he threatened me not to make phone calls to the hospital. This uncle is from Virginia.

Up to this time I did not receive any explanation from my mother’s siblings who are involved in the incident of rushing my mother to the hospital there in Federal Way, namely Aunt Dely and Uncle Manding. Both are residents of Federal Way. (Did they really take her to the hospital? Or, did the 911 paramedics take her from home?)

I asked the Federal Way Police Department to help me investigate this ongoing incident. I already made an official report to the Department of Foreign Affairs here. I’m only waiting for a phone call from their office.

(If I’m being fooled by anyone about my Mom’s condition – even if they are my mother’s siblings or the children of those siblings – then there’s a cover-up abroad of the exact details about Mom’s status before up to this time.)
